We already know who will benefit from the allowance for robotisation
A draft amendment to the provisions of the PIT and CIT Acts is ready, which assumes the introduction of a relief for robotisation from 2022. In the bill, we find a closed catalogue of qualified costs that will be eligible for this preference.
– This catalogue leaves no illusions for companies planning only a simple modernisation and replacement of the technological park, which wanted to benefit from the automation/robotisation relief – notes Maria Zalewska, Project Manager at Thedy & Partners.
The support will be available specifically for the purchase of new industrial robots and machines and peripheral devices necessary for their operation. The notion of a robot has been defined and subject to certain requirements.
An industrial robot, according to the draft law, is a machine:
- automatically controlled
- programmable,
- multi-tasking,
- with at least 3 degrees of freedom, having manipulative or locomotory characteristics for industrial applications.
In addition, an industrial robot should fulfil a total of the following 4 conditions:
1. it exchanges data in digital form with control and diagnostic devices;
2. it is connected to information and communication systems that improve production processes, in particular to production management, planning or product design systems;
3. it is monitored by sensors, cameras or similar devices;
4. integrated with other machines in the production cycle.
– The support will be particularly useful for companies with advanced assembly lines, where the purchase of robots will result in a significant improvement in production capacity, e.g. in the car manufacturing sector or in carpenter’s workshops – said Maria Zalewska.
