Today the Polish Deal will be dealt with by the Senate
On today's agenda of the upper house of parliament is a package of tax changes under the Polish Deal. Entrepreneurs are fighting to change the entry into force of these regulations.
Confederation Lewiatan, among others, made such an appeal to the senators. Earlier, it was also demanded by other organisations of entrepreneurs, as well as the ombudsman.
– It must be admitted that the package of tax changes under the Polish Deal is very broad. In some cases it can be described as revolutionary. Many changes mean an increase in the fiscal burden for entrepreneurs. If we add to this the fact that work on the amendments is again done at the last minute in order to publish them by 30 November, entrepreneurs have only one month to prepare for the novelties. This is very little, which is also pointed out by organizations of entrepreneurs, emphasizing that despite sincere intentions, business may not have enough time to prepare for all legal novelties planned for 1 January 2022 – comments Michał Thedy, tax advisor, partner at Thedy & Partners.
