Senate in favour of amendments to the Polish Deal
The Senate Budget and Public Finance Committee completed its work on a package of tax amendments under the Polish Deal. Senators proposed amendments to the amendment.
This was the second meeting of the Committee on this legislation, as the first was held on 20 October. The result of this work is the Report on the work of the Committee (print No. 506A), which proposes 70 amendments to the amendment and 5 amendments from the Senate minority.
– The amendments include e.g. a relief for families with many children or the method of accounting for single parents. Some of the amendments are more precise, such as replacing the word “declaration” with “testimony”. It was also crucial to analyse the number of changes that are to take place as of 1 January 2022 and which entrepreneurs will only have one month to implement. The next session of the Sejm, which will have to deal with the Senate’s amendments, is scheduled for 16-17 November. The agenda is not yet known, but assuming that the amendments will be considered then, the amendment will be published by the last possible date, i.e. by 30 November. It is a pity that such serious tax changes may such an unfinished shape and raise many doubts, and additionally, they are introduced at such a pace – remarks Łukasz Kupryjańczyk, tax advisor, partner in Thedy & Partners.
