The Council of the European Union gives its approval to KSeF
Last Friday, 10 June, the approval of the Council of the European Union for the introduction of the Ministry of Finance's mandatory invoicing system in Poland was published. Compared with the Ministry of Finance's original assumption, the dates of implementation of this system are slightly different.
Well, the Ministry of Finance assumed that the obligatory National System of Electronic Invoices would start on 1 January 2023. Currently – i.e. from the beginning of 2022. – taxpayers can use it voluntarily. The European Commission has agreed to such an option from 1 April 2023, but the document of the Council of the European Union refers to its start on 1 January 2024. The Council has agreed for the system to be in force in Poland until the end of 2026, i.e. for three years, with the option of extension.
