Regional investment aid less favorable for large companies from some voivodeships
The European Commission has approved the Regional Aid Map for Poland for 2022-2027.
– We already know that some of the changes will be particularly disadvantageous for large enterprises from the Dolnośląskie and Wielkopolskie voivodships. According to the new rules, from 2022 it will not be possible to receive support for the expansion of an existing production plant (increasing production capacity) in these areas, but only for an initial investment that will start a new business – points out Maria Zalewska, project manager at Thedy & Partners.
At the same time she adds that the intensity of the public aid for some voivodships will also be reduced:
– Wielkopolskie and Dolnośląskie – from 25% to 15%/20% in Wrocław, Poznań and the Poznań subregion;
– Pomorskie – from 35% to 30%;
– Mazowieckie voivodship – for part of the poviats from 35% to 25% and additionally no possibility of granting public aid for investments on the area of Warsaw and part of the neighbouring communes.
The current rules will apply until the end of 2021.
