Polish Deal 2.0 has come into force
As of today, 1 July 2022, most of the amended provisions of the PIT Act are in force. These changes are referred to as the Polish Deal 2.0.
Among the novelties introduced by the latest amendment that may be of interest to entrepreneurs are:
– reduction of the rate in the first bracket of the tax scale from 17% to 12%,
– the possibility for certain entrepreneurs to make limited deductions of health care contributions,
– the possibility for entrepreneurs who have opted for a flat tax or lump sum to return to the scale.
The legislation also reinstates joint taxation for single parents or abolishes the middle class allowance.
In addition, as of 2023, the rules on the application of the free amount will be made more flexible, which will be shared between up to three payers and also applied to mandate contracts.
