MF explains how to use the relief for the purchase of virtual cash registers
The Ministry of Finance has published additional explanations regarding virtual cash registers. The document is 10 pages long and the presented issues are supported by practical examples. It complements the previous explanations in this respect.
– The MF focused on the rules of deducting (refunding) from output VAT the amount spent on the purchase of cash registers in the form of software, as well as on the obligation to keep records on the cash register of sales, the payment for which was made by post, bank or a cooperative savings and credit union to the taxpayer’s account – points out Andrzej Kapczuk, tax adviser, partner at Thedy & Partners.
The Ministry points out that taxpayers, who are obliged by the provisions of the act to replace their cash registers, and as a result purchase e.g. a virtual cash register, are also entitled to relief on the purchase of virtual cash registers.
– In case of taxpayers keeping the sales records with the use of more than one register cash register, the deduction or refund of the tax relief for the purchase of each of these cash registers takes place additionally, provided that the taxpayer starts keeping the records with the use of each register cash register in each point of sale not later than within 6 months from the day the taxpayer started keeping the sales records – we read in the document.
