Large companies can apply for preferential financing within the another Financial Shield from PFR
The Polish Development Fund in recent days launched a long awaited call for proposals under the next financial shield for entrepreneurs most affected by COVID. Applications can only be submitted by large companies and they only have until the end of September to do so.
The new financial envelope from the PFR is intended to cover damage caused by disruptions to the economy due to COVID-19. The programme was launched in connection with the adoption by the Council of Ministers of amendments to the Polish Development Fund’s Government Financial Shield programme for large companies, following a prior decision by the European Commission. The deadline for applications is 30 September 2021.
– Support from the PFR takes the form of an interest and redeemable preferential loan granted for up to 6 years. The remission as non-refundable financing is intended to cover up to 75% of the actual damage suffered by the company as a result of COVID-19. The amount of the remission may also not exceed 75% of the amount of the granted loan. Entrepreneurs who wish to apply for these funds must submit an appropriate application form (available on the PFR website) electronically. The form will also have to be accompanied by other documents, i.e. documents confirming the aforementioned loss incurred as a result of the pandemic – suggests Maria Zalewska, project manager in Thedy & Partners.
