KSeF: get ready for a change in your company’s workflows
The transition to the mandatory KSeF from July 2024 for many companies will mean big changes in the issuing, receipt, circulation and archiving of invoices. The circulation of additional documents related to these invoices will also change.
– Today, every company has different ways of invoicing. Sometimes these are located in different departments of the company, apart from the accounting department. KSeF may force, for example, the creation of a separate unit within the company that will only deal with the collection and confirmation of invoice data for KSeF. It is possible that people from different departments will be involved in this process, e.g. accounting, commercial (sales/purchasing), logistics. The composition and scope of such a unit will depend on the company and its processes. It is important to remember, however, that the vast majority of invoices will be issued within KSeF and will reach the recipient through it. So everything that goes into the ministerial system will stay there. At the same time, the way VAT invoices are circulated and made available, as well as the transmission of invoice attachments, which in principle cannot be sent within KSeF, will change completely,’ suggests Grzegorz Arczewski, senior manager at Thedy & Partners.
