It’s time to start work on the new property tax law
A conference organised by the Association of Polish Cities 'Changes to the Real Estate Tax Law after the TK ruling' will be held in Białystok next Friday, 19 January. The meeting is expected to contribute to the development of a good shape of the final draft of the Act on taxes and local fees after the CT ruling on the unconstitutionality of the definition of a building. The event will be attended by Thedy & Partners experts Michał Nielepkowicz and Piotr Kalemba.
The event is all the more valuable as it is a consequence of the verdict of the Constitutional Tribunal of 4 July last year in our client’s case, where the Tribunal ruled on the unconstitutionality of the definition of a building in the Local Taxes and Fees Act, giving a deadline of 18 months to correct it.
– From 2025 onwards, the Local Taxes and Fees Act should be amended and, ideally, it should be written from scratch. It is high time to start intensive work on this with the active participation of tax experts. It is very welcome that the meeting in Białystok will be attended by the Deputy Minister of Finance Jarosław Neneman and representatives of the Tax Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance,” states Michał Nielepkowicz.
