Today is the last day to file PIT-28
Today, 28 February is the last day to file PIT-28 for 2021. The return must be filed, among others, by taxpayers who receive income from rental, as well as from business activity, and are taxed on lump-sum tax on registered income.
PIT-28 tax return and PIT-28S (filed by an inherited enterprise), are due between 15 February and 28 February 2022. PIT-28 returns for 2021 filed before the deadline are deemed to have been filed on 15 February 2022. The amount of the lump-sum due for December (or the last quarter) 2021 should be paid before the deadline for filing the PIT-28 return, i.e. by 28 February 2022.
It is worth remembering that taxpayers accounting for revenue from lease, tenancy, sublease or other contracts of a similar nature, or from the sale of processed plant or animal products subject to lump-sum tax may file PIT-28 using the Your e-PIT service. The annual PIT-28 return will not be automatically accepted on 28 February 2022. Please remember to check the return prepared by the National Tax Administration, and then accept it and download the Official Receipt (UPO).
