Time is running out – it makes sense to start preparing for the transition to the mandatory KSeF today
In less than a year, from 1 July 2024, another revolution in the way VAT data is reported to the tax authorities will come into force. The National e-Invoice System (KSeF) obliges taxpayers to issue and make available so-called structured invoices, which will be available to the tax authorities in real time.
– This means not only the need to adapt accounting systems to the requirements of the KSeF, but also the need to rebuild the existing document circulation model in organisations, as well as to adapt procedures to the substantive changes associated with the implementation of the KSeF. The challenge for taxpayers will be to identify all types of transactions that will be subject to the KSeF, and to integrate all types of documents on the sales and purchase side. It will also be important to train the staff responsible for the correct performance of KSeF-related duties, states Grzegorz Arczewski, senior manager at Thedy & Partners.
