The ‘Polish Deal’ plan: There will be a new tax relief
The Ministry of Finance proposes a special preference for companies that act for the benefit of science, culture and sport. It will be possible to include a special relief in the settlement with the treasury.
Such a solution is a part of the ‘Polish Deal’ programme and has been included in the draft regulations which are at the pre-consultation stage.
As indicated by Adam Allen, tax advisor, partner in Thedy & Parters, this solution is to consist in the fact that it will be possible to deduct from the tax base 50% of tax-deductible expenses incurred for sports, culture, higher education and science, in addition to including such expenses also in tax-deductible expenses. As emphasised in the justification, the relief is to support taxpayers who engage e.g. in financing scholarships for students or sponsoring cultural institutions.
