Poland at the forefront of European countries supporting R&D through tax incentives
The activity of entrepreneurs in the field of R&D is an avenue for the development of innovative business, but also an opportunity to take advantage of tax breaks. Poland is in second place among European countries with the highest number of tax incentives supporting this type of activity, according to the latest report by the American tax think tank Tax Foundation.
– In Poland, conducting R&D activity is associated with an increasing number of tax incentives, the main ones being the R&D tax credit and the IP Box. Particularly popular and attractive is the first of these, which has been in place for many years, while an even higher level of deduction is possible from 2022. Seeing the concrete tax benefits for R&D activities, our team has been actively supporting business for the last few years to make the best use of the available incentives, states Łukasz Łebski, tax advisor, senior manager at Thedy & Partners.
