Penalties under the Fiscal Penal Code have gone up
From 1 January 2022, the sanctions provided for in the Fiscal Penal Code have increased. This is a consequence of the increase of the minimum wage.
It is the minimum wage that determines the amount of penalties. In 2022, it is PLN 3010 and in 2021 it was PLN 2,800.
– This means that the highest fine for a fiscal crime today will be over PLN 15050. And the maximum fine for fiscal crimeis currently PLN 29 million. In turn, the fine for a fiscal crime imposed by the court this year may be set at between PLN 301 thousand and PLN 60022 thousand – calculates Michał Nielepkowicz, tax adviser, partner at Thedy & Partners.
