Online tax office to be launched
At its last session, the Council of Ministers adopted a draft law amending certain acts, thanks to which the handling of certain matters in the tax office will be automated and will be able to take place online.
Stamp duty for the issuance of certificates will also disappear if the applications are submitted through the e-US.
The e-tax office system will replace the Tax Portal used so far by the KAS. Communication through e-US (in the form of a portal or mobile application) will be legally as important as performing activities in a traditional form.
– It follows from the bill that e-US used in contacts with KAS authorities will be an information and transaction service for: taxpayers, payers, agents, bailiffs and notaries. These entities will gain access to tax-related information through e-US. Thanks to the portal, it will be possible to handle tax matters online, mainly those concerning VAT, PIT and CIT – indicates Michał Nielepkowicz, tax advisor, partner at Thedy & Partners.
The new regulations will come into force 14 days after their announcement in the Dziennik Ustaw (Journal of Laws), with the exception of some articles, which will come into force on different dates.
