Mandatory KSeF now certain
At Friday's session on 28 July 2023, the Sejm rejected the Senate's resolution to reject the law introducing a mandatory National e-Invoicing System from July 2024. The law will now be sent to the President for signature.
As a reminder, the mandatory KSeF will come into effect from 1 July 2024, with taxpayers who are exempt from VAT entering into new obligations in this area from 1 January 2025. The ministerial invoicing system will have to be used by all entrepreneurs, regardless of size.
– This means that entrepreneurs have 11 months to switch to KSeF. It will be necessary to prepare for this well in terms of content, organisation and also technically, for example by adapting the company’s software. Time is needed for all this and it is worthwhile to start work on this already in companies, advises Andrzej Kapczuk, tax adviser, partner at Thedy & Partners.
