Last week to settle your PIT for 2021
Only until 2 May is the time to settle the PIT for last year. The statutory deadline for fulfilling this obligation is 30 April. However, this year, 30 April falls on a Saturday, hence the postponement to 2 May.
The statement can be submitted through the Ministry of Finance service Your e-PIT. In the system, it is possible to verify, modify and approve PIT-37 and PIT-38 returns. If a taxpayer forgets to approve it, the tax administration will do it automatically together with the deadline for filing the return. PIT-36, on the other hand, must in any case be approved by the taxpayer. Here, the treasury’s automaton with approval will not work. All because PIT-36 in the vast majority of cases requires completion on the part of the taxpayer.
You can also complete the return yourself and submit it to the tax office, no later than 2 May.
