Inventory differences to be taken into account in the calculation of advance payments
Inventory differences will be taken into account when determining income for the calculation of health care contributions. Such a change was included in the amendment of the Code of Commercial Companies and Certain Other Acts, which was passed by the President.
The said amendment, among others, changes the rules of determining income for the calculation of health care contributions by entrepreneurs, which will be calculated taking into account inventory differences. As a result, companies that have bought goods in 2021 and will sell them in 2022, for example, will take into account expenses on purchases when calculating the health contribution.
The amended regulations also clarify two other issues. Firstly, when determining income for the purposes of calculating the health contribution, most tax-free income/income will not be taken into account (with the exception of income from the implementation of a new investment or obtained in a special economic zone and income covered by the return relief, the relief for working seniors and 4+ families). This rule will also apply to the payment of health contributions by entrepreneurs taxed as lump sums on registered income. Secondly, income from paid disposal of fixed assets will not be increased by depreciation write-offs included in tax deductible costs before 1 January 2022.
