Self-service car washes with fiscal cash registers
The Ministry of Finance expands the group of entities that will have to use fiscal cash registers. The latest draft of the regulation that imposes such an obligation includes car washes, including self-service ones.
The new obligation would come into effect from 1 July 2022.
– According to the published draft regulation of the Minister of Finance on exemptions from the obligation to keep records of sales with the use of cash registers, the owners of car washes offering car washing and cleaning services will be obliged to use cash registers from July next year. The draft extends the scope of activities covered by the absolute obligation to keep records with services of car washing, cleaning and similar services (PKWiU 45.20.30.0), as well as services of car washing, cleaning and similar services using customer-operated devices, which in an unmanned system accept payment in coins or banknotes or in another form (non-cash) – points out Grzegorz Arczewski, tax adviser, manager at Thedy & Partners.
