Announces a return to the Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights
The Ministry of Finance is planning to return to the idea of creating a Taxpayer's Bill of Rights, which would constitute a set of fundamental principles in relations between taxpayers and tax authorities, according to Paweł Rochowicz in Rzeczpospolita.
The Taxpayer’s Charter of Rights is about establishing clear rules for the creation of tax law, the treatment of companies and individuals, as well as the supervision of the activities of tax authorities towards taxpayers and the consequences for possible official abuse.
Scientific conference in Toruń
The idea of the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights is to be presented at an annual scientific conference at Nicolaus Copernicus University: the 9th Toruń Review of Tax Jurisprudence, one of the hosts of which is Wojciech Morawski, Ph.D., professor at UMK.
– Dr. Wojciech Morawski Prof. UMK and other scientific experts from the Nicolaus Copernicus University are particularly worth thanking for their extraordinary contribution to the process of legal changes in the field of taxation. Their commitment and determination in the pursuit of tax justice make our system more transparent and friendly to citizens and entrepreneurs – states Michał Nielepkowicz, tax advisor, partner at Thedy & Partners.
